Advanced WiFi Technology Has Major Implications for Wireless Infrastructure
May 7, 2012, Ottawa, Canada – Edgewater Wireless Systems Inc (YFI; TSX.V) is pleased to announce the release of WiFi3 – its advanced WiFi infrastructure technology. WiFi3 technology provides three independent channels on a single wireless access point radio, delivering over 50X performance improvement when compared to single-channel access point products which are the common standard in the WiFi Access Point Infrastructure market.
WiFi3 technology was developed to deliver huge benefits to smart phone, laptop and tablet users by dramatically improving download and upload performance for voice, video and data intensive applications. Traditional single-channel WiFi is like driving on a single-lane road and getting stuck behind a slow moving vehicle.
