Edgewater Wireless Update From Mobile World Congress

Momentum continues to build for WiFi3™ in 2017

March 1, 2017 – Ottawa, Canada & Barcelona, Spain – Edgewater Wireless Systems Inc. (YFI; TSX.V) is pleased to update our investors on our progress including our latest activity from Mobile World Congress.  We were very excited to announce the launch of aera™ – our 6-band WiFi router. The new aera router uses our WiFi3™ technology and is loaded with a number of new features and increased functionality. Expect to see more from us in the coming weeks as we continue to roll out the aera story.

We are also happy to update progress with our Fortune 500 partner. There have been a number of developments with them:

• The design of the new aera product has been influenced through our work with both Kyrio and with input from our customers, including our F500 partner. This new chassis design includes several technical advancements in the hardware and software on the aera WiFi router.
• Our software development team has completed the first release, or Beta Release, of the world’s most advanced WiFi driver capable of delivering multiple concurrent channels of transmit and receive from a single radio.
• The next stages of our engagement will be to harden the software driver and move to larger deployments of the WiFi3™ powered product over the coming months while working toward a joint product announcement. The product has global applications for large scale enterprise, public spaces and retail deployments.
