The Edgewater Wireless team recently attended two events in the month of June. The Wireless Broadband Alliance Congress and the LD Micro Main Event Investment Conference.
WBA Congress:
The WBA Congress was an exciting and new opportunity to network with some of the world’s leading experts in wireless and build our brand with some of the world’s largest telcos, equipment manufacturers and service providers. The team met great people from companies like Boingo Wireless and others and had in-depth discussions surrounding the growing challenges of high density in WiFi and how WiFi3 is solving these issues with our current customers and partners.
Edgewater Wireless Board Member Steve Andrews, was a presenter at the WBA Congress and was invaluable in making introductions to many of the high-profile attendees at the congress.
Our team was also very fortunate to benefit from our relationship with CableLabs at the conference. CableLabs, the parent company of the UpRamp Fiterator accelerator for the Cable Industry, is a WBA member and leads many of the technical working groups which our team will be participating in going forward.
Many of the themes of the event highlighted WiFi issues in the home, as well as, the future of WiFi + 5G. Overwhelmingly the sessions demonstrated how WiFi will be the foundational technology for 5G.
LD Micro Main Event:
Edgewater Wireless President and CEO, Andrew Skafel recently attended the largest small cap event of it’s kind in North America. LD Micro draws tech focused investors from across the country as well as around the world.
The event is an excellent platform to present our multi-channel single radio WiFi technology. As investors look for a great story and unique technology, Edgewater Wireless and WiFi3 resonated well with attendees who have the experience and understanding of the overwhelming opportunity of WiFi3 technology to address a global high density WiFi market which is quickly evolving from venue and hospitality to MDUs and the average American home.
