What is 5G?
Imagine seamless secure connectivity across wireless networks whether indoors or outdoors, whether at home or traveling, whether human or machine.
Secure high-speed wireless connectivity everywhere for everything.
The fifth-generation of mobile internet technology is promising to deliver higher speeds, lower latency, wider coverage and more secure connections. At its foundation, 5G requires better, more efficient, more user-friendly use of spectrum from the licensed mobile spectrum to the WiFi spectrum we know and love.
WiFi is the very foundation of 5G.
5G Connectivity Demonstration
Working with global leaders in 5G, Edgewater Wireless recently demonstrated a seamless, secure handover to a WiFi network which required no user intervention. This is a huge step in 5G communications that will leverage both mobile and WiFi networks to provide seamless, secure communications to mobile users worldwide. Edgewater Wireless was proud to work with Comcast, Nokia, Global Reach and BSG Wireless on a ‘first-of-its-kind’ innovation that has vast application.
